Application

It is a main raw material for the production of cationic quaternary ammonium salts, widely used in bactericides and textile dyeing auxiliaries;
It can react with quaternizing agents such as methyl chloride, dimethyl sulfate, and diethyl sulfate to produce cationic quaternary ammonium salts;
It can react with sodium chloroacetate to produce amphoteric surfactant betaine;
It can react with hydrogen peroxide to produce amine oxide for use as a foaming agent.
