Methods
Corresponding test methods should be used according to the hydrophilic (hydrophobic) water of the quaternary ammonium salt fungicide and the external form of the quaternary ammonium antibacterial material. The common detection methods of quaternary ammonium antibacterial materials are as follows:
- Film Contact Antibacterial Test Method
After the bacteria are in contact with the quaternary ammonium antibacterial materials for a certain period of time, the bacteria of the quaternary ammonium antibacterial materials and the blank control sample are tested for live bacteria respectively to obtain the antibacterial rate.
- Vibration Contact Antibacterial Test Method
Increase the contact between the quaternary ammonium antibacterial materials and the test bacteria by vigorous shaking. Then compare the bacterial counts of the quaternary ammonium salt antibacterial material and the blank sample to obtain the antibacterial rate.
- Other Antibacterial Evaluation Methods
For dissolvable quaternary ammonium antibacterial materials, the agar plate method or parallel band method can be used to determine the size of the inhibition zone to qualitatively evaluate its antibacterial properties.
