Introduction
Quaternary ammonium salt auxiliaries are widely used in textile printing and dyeing, including fabric antistatic agent, softener, polyester alkali reduction accelerator, cationic dye acrylic leveling agent, silicone emulsifier, anticorrosive and antibacterial agent and chemical fiber oil agent.
Application
- As an Alkali Reduction Accelerator for Polyester Fabric and a Dyeing Retarder for Cationic Dyes
Gemini quaternary ammonium salt can obviously promote the alkali reduction treatment of polyester fabric, the strength loss of the treated fabric is small, and the drape, air permeability and moisture retention of the fabric can be effectively improved. The fiber treated with cationic dyes has lower crystallinity and glass transition temperature, and the internal structure of the fiber is loose, so the adsorption rate is faster. The Gemini quaternary ammonium salt added to the dye first enters the fiber and binds with the sulfonic anion, and then replaces it after the cationic dye goes in, so as to slow down the dye adsorption rate and play the effect of slow dyeing.
- Improve Nylon Printing Pitting
Nylon is prone to pitting on the surface when it is printed with acid dyes, which is manifested as local aggregation on the surface of the fabric. By adding appropriate gemini quaternary ammonium salts, anionic dyes and gemini quaternary ammonium salts form a spatial network structure on the cloth surface, so that the dyes are not easy to move when the printing table is raised or dried, and the occurrence of textile pitting is prevented. The stable interaction between the gemini quaternary ammonium salt and the acid dye is beneficial to reduce the generation of printing pitting. Studies have shown that when the hydroxyl-containing gemini quaternary ammonium salt is used in combination with other additives, it can eliminate the pitting caused by dyes in nylon printing.
- Low-salt Technology in the Dyeing Process of Cotton and Linen Fabrics
The use of a large amount of inorganic salts in the dyeing process of cotton fabrics has brought great difficulties to sewage treatment, and no-salt/low-salt/substitute alkali dyeing has become a research hotspot. Modification of cotton fibers with a small amount of gemini quaternary ammonium salts, followed by delayed dyeing with reactive dyes, can greatly reduce the amount of inorganic salts, help reduce costs, reduce salt pollution to the environment, and improve product quality.
- Color Fixing Agent
Color fixing agent is one of the indispensable important auxiliaries in textile printing and dyeing industry. The polymer was prepared by the reaction of epichlorohydrin with diethylenetriamine, and then quaternized with 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyl ammonium chloride to prepare a cationic quaternary ammonium salt fixing agent. When the fabric is treated with this fixing agent, the fixing effect is good and will not cause color change of the fabric. In addition, it also improves the dry and wet rubbing fastness and washing fastness of the fabric.
